‘Grenfell Tower fraudster swindled £85k’

A homeless man has denied fraudulently claiming £85,000 in hotel bills and support from the Grenfell Tower fire disaster fund. Alvin Thompson, 50, allegedly embarked on the year-long scam following the blaze in June 2017, in which 72 people lost their lives and many more were injured.
